Geothermal probe system for climate-friendly district in Frankfurt

On a grand scale

The team from Bauer Resources constructed an enormous geothermal system for Frankfurt’s climate-friendly district under extremely challenging soil conditions. For this project, a total of 19,200 meters were drilled, 160 geothermal probes installed and 10 km of pipeline laid. What makes this project unique: The system is the largest of its kind in Germany, and will supply a district with 54 apartment buildings, 860 residential units and commercial spaces in the future.
