Geothermal probe system for Regensburg University campus

Little probes, big results

On the campus of Regensburg University, Bauer Resources installed an ultramodern geothermal probe system – despite tight spatial conditions and a lively environment around the site. In just nine months, a total of 24 geothermal probes and 1.3 km of pipeline was constructed with an output of up to 85 MWh of heat energy per year.

Double the benefits

In winter, the system absorbs heat from the ground to heat the building. In summer, the excess heat from the building is released into the ground to cool it.
